Bit Digital went public on the Nasdaq in March-2018, originally operating a P2P online lending business in China and car rental business. In Feb-2020 the company pivoted to Bitcoin mining. In April-2020 and July-2020 Bit Digital deployed thousands of rigs, a mixture of Bitmain and MicroBT units representing 1.25 EH/s of hashrate. These machines are deployed in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and Sichuan Provinces. In Sep-2020, Bit Digital announced a partnership with Compute North to begin their North American expansion.
